Radiant will attend and exhibit light measurement solutions at the upcoming CORM 2019 Annual Technical Conference and 12th Biennial Joint Meeting of the CNC/CIE and CIE-USNC. CORM (the Council for Optical Radiation Measurements) is an organization of industrial, academic and government professionals coming together to promote and advance the changing needs of industry in the development of physical standards, calibration services and inter-laboratory collaboration programs. CIE (International Commission on Illuminance), through both its Canadian National Committee and United States National Committee, is a technical, scientific and cultural non-profit organization whose objectives are to discuss matters relating to the fields of light and lighting while developing standards and procedures for lighting metrology.

Radiant participates in the annual CORM Technical Conference through the attendance of our board member staff. This year, Radiant will host a tabletop exhibit throughout the conference to showcase our solutions for near-infrared light source measurement. Our new NIR Intensity Lens and TT-NIRI™ Software form a solution for measuring the near-IR output of light sources using imaging technology to capture distributions to +/-70 degrees. The system evaluates the radiant intensity of both flood illumination samples (such as LEDs) as well as lasers (such as VSCELs) used to create structured light patterns for 3D sensing like facial and gesture recognition. 

The conference will be held at the National Research Council of Canada in Ottawa. There will be 2.5 days of technical sessions and and half-day of NRC laboratory tours, along with the business meetings for the three organizations. Researchers, students, and professionals are encouraged to participate in what promises to be an interesting and informative meeting spanning all aspects of light and lighting and measurement.
