Radiant Vision Systems (Radiant) maintains high standards for the protection of privacy over the Internet and we understand that many site visitors place significant value on their online privacy and security. This statement explains how Radiant protects the privacy of information collected from you when using our website; in accordance with applicable legislation in the countries where such information is being processed. By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your information by Radiant as described in this policy.
1.0 Collection of Information
Generally, Radiant collects two types of information on its website:
1.1. Non-personally identifiable information.
Radiant gathers some generic information automatically, solely to help us determine the success and usefulness of the website. This generic information, which does not reveal the identity of the visitor, may include: what pages you visited, how much time you spend on various pages of the site, what links you click, and your domain name type (.com, .org, etc.). We also collect certain standard information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and capabilities, your operating system, the date and time you access the site, and the originating website that linked you to our site. The Radiant website also uses Cookies (see Section 3, below).
1.2. Personally identifiable information.
Radiant collects specific and individualized data about its website visitors only when you supply such information voluntarily, i.e., when you send e-mail, fill out an inquiry form, or register to download materials such as a webinar or white paper. The information we collect may include personal information (e.g. title, name, address, e-mail address, telephone number). By submitting a form on our site, your information is entered into a database. Radiant uses this information to fulfill your request and to improve customer service.
2.0 Cookies
To make the Radiant sites work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too.
2.1 What are Cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer hard drive or mobile device when you visit the site. This information enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
2.2 How does Radiant Use Cookies?
Radiant sites use the following types of cookies:
- Essential Cookies. Essential cookies enable you to navigate the Radiant site and to use its services and features. Without these absolutely necessary cookies, the site will not perform as smoothly for you and we may not be able to provide certain services or features.
- Preference Cookies. Preference cookies collect information about your choices and preferences, and allow us to remember language or other local settings and customize the Site accordingly.
- Analytics Cookies. Analytics cookies collect information about your use of the Radiant site and enable us to improve the way it works. For example, analytics cookies show us which are the most frequently visited pages on the site and help us record any difficulties you have with the site. This allows us to see the overall patterns of usage, rather than the usage of a single person. We use the information to analyse overall site traffic, but we do not examine this information for individually identifying information.
- Social Media Cookies. Social media cookies collect information about social media usage.
Our sites may contain electronic images known as web beacons—or single-pixel gifs—that allow us to count the number of users who have visited certain pages. We may include web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon.
Radiant sites use first party cookies, which are set by our sites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our websites (including your IP address) is transmitted to a server (located in the United States) and stored there. Radiant sites also use third party cookies, which are set by a server located outside the Radiant site domain) that apply cookies to analyze your use of the website. Third party cookies used on our site include those of: Google Analytics, Adobe Marketo Engage, Drupal, Facebook, ShareThis, and Optimizely. Third party cookies on our Chinese-language website may also include those of Baidu and DoubleClick.
Any information collected during your site visit by cookies will not be used for any other purposes besides the ones described here.
