From booth 4228, Radiant Vision Systems will showcase live demos of photometric measurement systems designed in unique optical configurations to efficiently measure light-emitting technologies. Explore equipment for testing the qualities of displays and virtual images as seen through augmented and virtual reality headsets. Radiant imaging photometers and colorimeters are combined with flexible lens configurations to qualify displays across narrow to wide fields of view (up to 120 degrees horizontal) at extremely close proximity, emulating the perspective the user within the headset. New AR/VR display test systems feature electronic focus to quickly adjust to different focal planes in varifocal or multifocal devices, even enabling fully automated testing of virtual images as perceived distance is adjusted.
With up to 61-megapixel image sensors, Radiant's ProMetric® imaging systems achieve higher than the generally accepted human-eye or retinal resolution of 60 pixels per degree (PPD). These systems can discern fine details in virtual images and thereby isolate quality issues such as pixel-level brightness or color values, MTF (image clarity), focus uniformity, contrast, and optical anomalies to the display for the most precise and relevant analysis.
